Winemaker’s NotesSmall parcels of Mataro, Cinsault and Grenache grapes from our Mirus Vineyard and two neighbours, were picked, destemmed and pressed together. Cool fermented on solids to preserve the bright red fruits followed by time on yeast lees post ferment enhances the texture of this delicious wine.A pretty rosé, soft salmon in colour, made in a dry, savoury style. The palate’s savoury texture, finishes dry and stony with bright acidity and excellent persistence. Highly drinkable and food-friendly.Wine Writer’s Notes 94 Points Dave Brooks 2025 James Halliday Wine Companion
Light 'onion skin' in colour, this rosé, a blend of mataro, grenache and cinsault, makes for great refreshing, savoury drinking and would be just the ticket with a plate of charcuterie. Ruby red grapefruit, redcurrant, citrus and blood orange fruits with hints of stone, dried meadow flowers, a light wash of mountain herbs, crème fraîche and a lick of almond paste. There's a savoury textural element, and the finish is stony, savoury and lipsmackingly moreish. - Dave Brooks
