Sandor Palmai works with food from the ground up, shaped by seasons, landscape, and the knowledge of those who grow it. With extensive experience in food growing, he is drawn to ethical sourcing, close relationships with growers, and the cultural narratives that give place its voice. Moving between gardens, kitchens, and shared tables, Sandor approaches cooking with calm intent, valuing flavour, integrity, and care. He is motivated by collaboration and the simple enjoyment of food that feels thoughtful, generous, and human.

Set among the vines of Mirus Vineyards, The Art of Wine is a relaxed, immersive wine experience for the curious. Hosted at Wonderground Gallery, it brings together wine, art and place, inviting you to taste slowly, ask questions and discover what shapes flavour.

Guided through Mirus wines alongside thoughtfully chosen international benchmarks, you’ll explore key grape varieties and notice how land, craft and context come through in the glass. The experience finishes at the table, with a relaxed food and wine pairing, often surprising, it’s designed to give you simple, intuitive ways to choose and enjoy wine in everyday life.

A private, bespoke full-day wine education experience in the heart of the Barossa, seamlessly blending internationally recognised learning with the understated luxury of our vineyard and gallery setting.

Guided by our certified educator, guests explore how wine is made, taste Mirus wines alongside global benchmarks, experiential wine and food pairing experience and complete their wine journey with a vineyard walk and tasting.

Successful participants receive the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines, an internationally recognised qualification. For those who want a credential that travels with them globally.
